It   would   be   great   to   see   you   at   one   of   our   Sunday   services   soon.   We're   a friendly   and   welcoming   bunch   with   a   wide   range   of   ages,   cultures   and backgrounds.   You   can   come   just   as   you,   there's   no   need   to   dress   up   - unless you want to! Our    Main    Celebration    at    10.30am    attracts    approx    250    people.    The Worship   is   led   by   a   group   co-ordinated   by   our   Worship   Leader   and   our Senior   Minister   or   someone   else   preaches   in   the   series   we   have   running. Groups   for   Children   (Kidzone)   and   Young   People   (Academy)   run   every Sunday    after    a    time    of    Worship    together.    Prayer    Ministry    is    always available after the service and many people stay to chat over Coffee. We   also   run   special   afternoon   and   evening   services   as   arranged.   These include   Youth   Celebrations,   Afternoon   Silver   Services,   Communion   Praise & Prayer gatherings. We    believe    that    the    living    God    who    made    the    world    and    loves    it,    has entrusted   it   to   the   care   of   human   society.   It   is   a   sad   truth   that   many   of   the problems   of   our   world   and   its   people   have   been   caused   by   human   activity. We confess and repent our part in this. We   also   believe   that   the   gospel   is   good   news   for   God’s   earth.   We   try   to   make caring   for   the   Earth   a   part   of   church   culture.   Helping   us   move   forward   with this   is   A   Rocha’s   Eco   Church   scheme.   This   holds   us   accountable   in   the   areas of;   worship   and   teaching,   church   buildings   and   land,   community   and   global engagement   and   our   individual   lifestyles.   We   are   currently   working   towards our silver award. We encourage everyone to join with us in: Reducing   fossil   fuel   use.   e.g   reducing   car   journeys,   using   a   renewable energy supplier, avoiding unnecessary airplane flights. Minimising    waste.    e.g    using    up    food    leftovers,    refusing    single    use plastics, avoiding unnecessary purchases. Speaking   to   those   in   power.   e.g.   encouraging   local   councillors   and   MPs   to adopt policies that promote a healthy environment now and in the future. Reflecting on what further steps we can take to care for God’s Earth. Living Justly God   has   commanded   us   to   love   our   neighbour   as   ourselves   and   we   recognise that   this   goes   beyond   being   kind   to   those   we   meet.   We   acknowledge   Christ’s special   love   for   the   poor   and   marginalised   and   we   want   to   learn   from   him and   imitate   him.   We   are   gradually   learning   more   about   our   part   in   advancing social justice through our support of number of ventures including:

Academy: Academy    is    our    teaching    programme which   takes   palce   on   a   Sunday   morning whilst   the   main   service   is   going   on.   Our experienced    and    qualified    youth    team take      enormous      joy      in      teaching secondary    school    children    about    the bible and it’s relevance in today’s life.
Explore   is   a   group   for   school   years   7-13   on   Fridays   from   4-5   we   we   look at the Christian faith and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. The Hub - every Friday  in term time from 4 - 6.45. The   hub   is   a   place   where   all   secondary   school   children   can   come   and enjoy    some    activities    ranging    from    nerf    gun    fights,    challenges    and cooking   lessons   too.   From   4   -   5,   we   concentrate   on   the   Lord   and   seek   to encourage   more   of   Him   in   our   lives.   This   is   usually   led   in   the   way   of   an Alpha   Course   or   devotional   but   it’s   an   open   time   for   questions   to   be asked about faith and life.

Our   Brigades   are   an   award   winning   company   who   we   are   proud   to   have   as   part of our church. The   vision   for   the   Brigades   is   to   see   children   and   young   people   experience   ‘life to   the   full’.   As   a   Christian   movement,   they   want   to   see   the   young   people   learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. As   an   organisation   they   are   committed   to   sharing   and   exploring   their   faith   with others. From   the   age   of   5   all   the   way   through   to   the   age   of   18,   children   can   start   with the   Brigades   and   work   their   way   through   to   a   senior   level   earning   badges, exploring Christianity and completing the duke of Edinburgh programme. Our   Brigades   meet   in   the   evening   during   the   week   and   are   part   of   our   all   age celebration services on the 2nd Sunday of most months of the year.
